To Be Honorable


Think about you being one of the 56 people that signed the Declaration of Independence. This was one of the first patriotism acts to this country that we live in. It would be a great thing to be a part of knowing that you have created a new country. Being able to say that would be great, however, there are many other ways of being patriotic. You could be a good citizen and help others out with many things with work or any questions they have. The many things we do for our country, such as fighting in a war is also patriotic because you are keeping our country safer from attacks against us as a nation. So patriotism is an important in every country’s society.

To begin with, the Declaration of Independence demonstrated great patriotism by all of the people who signed it. They helped build this wonderful country that we live in today by making us free from the British. Since the Declaration has been signed more and more people want to be patriotic. Many people try to keep this country from danger and attack. They are basically helping just as the Declaration signers did, by helping this country stay free.

In addition, citizenship is an essential part to being patriotic. You just have to make sure that you try to do what you think is right. That way you can learn to do even more patriotic things. Being a citizen can be very easy if you are naturally nice. Just helping people and making sure that you help keep people safe. That can help you be a good citizen and even you just doing one good thing a day is good citizenship.

Equally important, is that many people lose their lives to help save this country. Some join because they love this country. Others just like to be able to say they helped with the war. Some protect very important supplies that could help their country. Hundreds of people die from trying to protect everything that they hold dear to them.

Finally, most everybody has been patriotic and still are. They either have been a good citizen or fought to help keep this country safe. Then there are those who aren’t patriotic and probably have a messed up life in jail or some other way. So that’s why patriotism is so important to everyone.
